Wading pools – Summer 2026
Dovercourt operates three area wading pools: Westboro Kiwanis Park (at Dovercourt), Woodroffe (200 Lockhart Ave), and McKellar Park (539 Wavell Ave). Each wading pool will be open 5 days a week, but operating on different days.

Wading pool supervision ratios
- 5 years & under: 1:4; parent/ guardian* within arms reach at all times
- 6-9 years: height under 115cm & can’t pass swim test**; parent/ guardian* within arms reach at all times — 1:4
- 6-9 years: height over 115cm or passes swim test ** — n/a
- 10 years & older: no supervision, minimum height or swim test** required
Note:
- *Guardian is 14 yrs & older
- Height requirement: 45 inches (115 cm)
- **Swim test: Must be able to independently recover from floating on their front and back, and be able to cross the deepest part of the pool unassisted.
